Dungeons & Dragons Online Wins BAFTA - PC

Atari announced today that last night the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in London played host to the cream of the UK gaming industry at the star studded British Academy Video Games Awards. Against strong competition from other major licenses and impressive titles Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach came out in front to take home the Multiplayer award.Developed by Turbine and published in Australia by Atari, Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach is the first and only massively multiplayer online roleplaying game based on the world-renowned Dungeons & Dragons brand franchise from Wizards of the Coast. This unique online world features highly customizable characters built from authentic Dungeons & Dragons races, abilities, skills, and feats; real-time action combat; dangerous dungeons with devious traps; hand-crafted, private adventures; monsters and stories from the action-packed and intrigue-laced Eberron campaign setting; and award-winning visuals.
Following the launch of the game in March 2006, Turbine has been listening to the fans resulting in the launch of a series of Modules which have escalated the gameplay experience to one of unmatched excellence in MMO gaming. Module 3, 'The Demon Sands', is scheduled for launch later this month.
