Xbox 360: fastest selling console in Australia - Xbox 360

According to Gfk (the guys that supply us with the monthly stats for game sales), the Xbox 360 has broken the record previously held by the Sony Playstation 2 as the highest selling game console.

The 360 has now sold over 100,000 units since its intial release back in March. This contrasts to the PS2s 78,000 units sold in the same period of time, so that's pretty impressive.

Gfk also stated that the 360 also enjoyed the most successful launch of a console in Australia, shipping out over 30,000 units in four days.
