Sony to Miss Shipment Target for PS3 in Japan -

Sony has dropped 20,000 units from it's initial promise of 100,000 for the PS3 launch in Japan. Sony stated that the 100,000 unit launch was 'more of a target' than a set figure.

Component shortages is the reason given behind the lower launch stock.
