Australia, Melbourne, Nov. 2nd, 2006 - As the December 7th launch of its innovative Wii home video game console draws near, Nintendo Australia is pleased to confirm the first chance for consumers to get hands on with Wii across shopping centres Australia wide.

The only way to truly understand the fun, the excitement and the pure involving gameplay that Wii offers is to put the Wii Remote in your hand, stand in front of a television screen and PLAY. To smash forehands, swing swords, do the hula-hoop, bowl a strike or steer an off-road truck, will trigger gameplay emotions never experienced before.

'The only true way to accurately explain the joy of Wii gaming is to actually play. Playing is Believing' explains Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing, Nintendo Australia.

Hands on play will be available from Saturday 4th of November at Highpoint Shopping Centre and at the Game 1 expo in Melbourne before being rolled out Australia wide.
