Microsoft Officially Announces Xbox 360 Elite - Xbox 360

It has to be the worst secret of the last week, but Microsoft today officially announced the Xbox 360 Elite Package. The package offers a few nice features over the previous Premium Package:
- HDMI port for direct digital output of audio and graphics at 1080p to compatible devices (including cable)
- 120gb Hard Drive
- Xbox Live headset
- Wireless controller
- One month subscription to Xbox Gold
- Permanent subscription to Xbox Silver
- Everything finished in trendy black
The package will be available for $480USD, or about $600AUD (no announcement of Australian pricing or release date as yet)
To complement the system, also available are the separate accessories, including the 120gb Hard Drive, black rechargeable battery pack, black play 'n charge kit.
Sliced Comments: Hot on the heels of the Playstation 3 release in PAL territories, this nicely replaces the previous Premium package with a few bonus features which put it on equal footing with the PS3. A nice refresher to the Xbox 360 range in a way, to move it into it's next stage of tight competition.
