Metroid Prime 3 Pushed to a Q3 Release - Wii
4th April 2007, 10:17pm
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has been pushed back to a tentative Q3 release window following a statement issued by Nintendo today.
Both Nintendo and Retro have stated that the delay is to make sure the game is "absolutely perfect", citing the relatively poor performance of Metroid Prime 2 in the retail market as something to work towards excelling.
"Where is Metroid? Metroid is not going to ship by June. We've announced all of our games through the end of June," said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo America president. "And the fact with Metroid is we want to make sure that that game is perfect. Unfortunately, Metroid Prime 2 didn't live up to our expectations, it didn't live up to Retro's expectations."
Disappointing news to say the least.
