Halo 3 Beta Dates Announced - Xbox 360

One of the most anticipated games of all time now has a release date. Well, kind of. For gamers lucky enough to have won a competition or purchased Crackdown, it's your time to shine on May 16th at 12:00AM PDT.

The beta testing will run until June 6th, and will offer gamers a look in to the multiplayer aspect of Halo 3. It is not the complete version of the multiplayer game, but you can expect it will be about 99.999% complete considering they are letting much of the general public play it.

Also, for those interested in watching some footage from the Halo 3 Multiplayer Alpha testing, Bungie secretly put a new Halo 3 video on the Xbox 360 marketplace, available for download. It's a hefty 350MB, but it's worth watching if you want an edge on some of the maps when the beta starts next month.
