Microsoft Going Blu? - Xbox 360
8th May 2007, 4:11pm

Microsoft's Xbox corporate VP of worldwide marketing and publishing has announced to Japanese website ITmedia that they have plans to release a Blu-ray Xbox 360 peripheral, possibly before the end of the year.
Microsoft no longer seems very interested in HD-DVD and allegedly suggest that it has a rather bleak future. Moore also added that the Blu-ray is the most cutting edge technology on the market at the moment, and therefore the Xbox 360 needs the peripheral to offer its consumers both sides of the coin.
This all sounds very interesting, and we can't wait to find out more about the release date, pricing, and how the external Blu-ray drive will look.
Sell your HD-DVD's now, it seems Blu-ray has won.
