No Competitive Multiplayer for Mercs 2 - PC, Xbox 360, PS3

In an exclusive interview with Scott Warner, the lead designer for Mercenaries 2, Eurogamer discovered that there will be no competitive multiplayer modes.

In a game thats crying for diversity, and a time when competitive multiplayer is half the reason why gamers buy games, having no competitive multiplayer in Mercenaries 2 may cause this game to slip below the radar on sales figures.

Lets hope the rest of the game, such as the co-operative multiplayer mode, is finely polished.

Mercenaries 2 is due out before the end of the year on PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation 2.
