Sony PS3 Firmware v1.81 Now Available - PS3

An minor firmware update for the PS3 is now available.

This latest update installs the new firmware version 1.81. Features updated in this latest release include:

  • The method of setting [RGB Full Range (HDMI)] under [Display Settings] has been improved.
  • The stability of the network connection used during gameplay has been improved for some PlayStation 2 format software titles that support online gaming.
Version 1.81 firmware is now available for PS3 owners. Simply turn on your Playstation 3, and press the System Update icon in the settings menu.
