Sony PS3 Firmware v1.82 Now Available - PS3

Another minor firmware update for the PS3 is now available. This update installs the new firmware version 1.82. All that is added with this latest release is:

Video

  • Support for playback of AVC High Profile(H.264/MPEG-4) format video has been added. You can now enjoy high quality, MP4 format video.
Version 1.82 firmware is now available for PS3 owners. Simply turn on your Playstation 3, and press the System Update icon in the settings menu.
