Microsoft drops Xbox 360 price in Australia - Xbox 360

While they've been denying it for a while for Australia, today Microsoft announced a formal price drop of the Xbox 360 to an RRP of $AUD579.95. The core console has been dropped to $AUD399. Similar prices have been available at many retailers during last month's sales, but an official drop in the RRP will be welcome to many considering a purchase leading up to the busy Christmas period.
Sliced Comments: Don't be surprised to see the HDMI enabled premium available here shortly. Microsoft denied a price cut for Australia, and here we have one. They've also recently denied we'll see HDMI in future, so we will see it after they've garnered a few sales with the price drop from the old stock. To announce it now would only stifle sales of the existing console.
