Far Cry 2 New Website and Details - PC

Ubisoft has just released the official website to the upcoming Far Cry 2 for PC. You can visit the website at http://farcrygame.ubi.com/

On the site you can view an intro video from the developers, news, and other bits and pieces of information (no 'live' video of the gameplay yet). There is also a developer's blog which will be updated on the progress of the game. No word on a release date yet, but expect it sometime next year.

This time Jack Carver is sent to darkest Africa to assassinate 'The Jackal, scheming to drive division between the warlords of the region. Some of the key features will be:

• Some 50 sq.km of realistic African landscape to explore.
  
  
• Use of the new Dunia engine, featuring destructible environments, dynamic fire and explosions, night and day cycles, dynamic music, and non-scripted enemy A.I.
  
  
• Real-time story-telling, auto-healing, and minimal interface help bring across the atmosphere.
  
  
• Large range of vehicles available including boats, trucks, cars, a glider, and more.
  
  
• Large selection of weapons allowing brute force attack, or stealth kills - and different styles of gameplay.

Sliced Comments: Tasty screens indeed. The first game set some benchmarks for pretty graphics, and really pushed the hardware of the time. A sequel hopefully will continue the high quality of the original.
