Fury for All! - PC

8th December 2007, 5:30pm

Fury, the Australian developed online title will soon be free for all to enjoy. This comes as a result of the rather negative reactions coming through of the game, which has forced publisher Auran to reconsider the future of the team and the title.

First things first: the free part does come at a bit of a cost. Free players will be branded as new "Chosen" characters. They'll essentially be able to everything that normal characters can, except they'll earn less gold and essence and won't be able to trade unless they fork over some actual cash.

This is basically a revised version of the system currently in place. The difference now is that you don't have to pay the initial retail price to start playing Fury. The new system is set to come into place on December 14th, which will also bring with it a content update to the game (which includes two new game types).

And now onto the bad: in a letter to the Australia Kotaku site, Auran head honcho, Tony Hilliam, said "We will then have some bad news to follow (unless a miracle occurs), but there will be a very positive end to the week." Goodness knows what that bad news is (the good news is the free Fury, obviously), but if you've wanted to check out Fury, then now would be a great time.
