PS3 Production Costs Halved? - PS3
14th January 2008, 11:59am

A rather interesting tidbit has popped up at Business Week: Sony have apparently been able to halve the development costs of the PS3 (from $800 to $400). Coupled with the rising popularity of Blu-Ray (and it's recent Warner Brothers deal), could this news bring about a change for the system that's currently trailing in sales?
No word on whether a price cut will occur yet, but I'm sure it's good news for the folks at Sony, a company that lost a considerable amount of money on every PS3 sold at launch.
