Black, Ninja Gaiden Black, and Pirates released Feb 11th - Xbox 360
7th February 2008, 12:25pm

According to Major Nelson, the latest titles released in it's "Xbox Classics" range will be titles Black, Ninja Gaiden Black and Sid Meier's Pirates. Each will be available for 1200 Xbox Live points through Xbox Live on Feburary 11th (next Monday US time).
Sliced Comments: The former two titles were definitely considered some of the best action titles released on the original Xbox system, and of course Pirates is an entertaining strategy title. 360 gamers may well be quite keen on trying some of these, if they never played the originals, or simply to replay them through.

Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it held appeal at the time - I do remember mixed reviews, but with all the top notch shooters last year (by all I really mean COD4), it's probably lost it's pizazz.
Pirates! is awesome on PC though. I used to play it for hours, and it's one of the two or three games installed after I wiped the Harddrive.
I remember black as being quite good.. yup, I gave it 8/10 (on ps2 anyhow) - http://www.slicedgaming.com/reviews/ps2/review814.html
It was simple over-the-top action shooter with plenty of blowing stuff up, and shooting things. Sure, maybe that's a little stale now, but at the time it was one of the better ones.
Black was considered good? I know Ninja Gaiden is absolutely rocking, and I loved Pirates! on PC, but Black? I thought it was pretty bad...
