New Super Mario Bros Floats Onto Wii U
Wii, Wii U

Who would have thought? Mario teaming up with Nintendo! Yes, despite that mock horror, there will be some surprised to learn that in New Super Mario Bros. U the titular siblings will be joined by your Mii. Of course, there'll be a bunch of new items and fancy graphics to boot too.
The new Squirrel Acorn will transform you into Flying Squirrel Mario, allowing you to swoop through levels and cling to walls, or find a Balloon Yoshi to float through the air. With the Wii U Gamepad you can add platforms in midair to help out your friends and aim for speed runs. Plus, it features the new Nintendo standards of Gamepad-only play without the TV on, as well as Miiverse feedback from your friends and rivals.
Due out this year, it should be one of the first games (along with Wii Fit U) to really generate some buzz and attention for the new system in the public eye. Check out all the pics below, and stream this trailer too.
