eGames Returns To Melbourne

eGames is the closest thing Australia has to an E3 - except it's open to the public. I guess that means it's more like a Tokyo Games Show. Either way, it's returning this year in a brand new venue in Melbourne between October 30th and November 1st. If you can believe it, this will be its fourth year. This year's show will feature games like Assassin’s Creed II, James Cameron’s Avatar, Borderlands and Forza Motorsport 3.
The expo will be targeting a wide audience, from the casual audience that want to see what this industry is all about, to the competitive gamer looking for elite challenges, to children playing in the 'Kids Zone'. 2009 will see the debut of the eGames Masters, a national professional gaming championship with tons of prizes up for grabs. Of course, the gaming industry will have representatives on hand to discuss all the latest products too.
eGames Expo is part of the International Digital Entertainment Festival 2009. Located at the Royal Exhibition Building Carlton, a single ticket will enable entry into the eGames Expo, Digital Lifestyle Show and Develop ICT Skills and Careers Expo. Tickets are on sale here. We'll have people there to fill you in about the show, so remember to tune in this time next month for coverage.
