New Gadget for DS Revealed - DS

A new peripheral has just been revealed for the DS and the DS Lite by Nintendo Japan. From what we can see, it appears to be a device that gives your DS similar functions to that of an optical mouse.

The new device plugs into the GBA slot. It is of a clip-like design, with the back of the unit curving around the back of the DS when affixed. Underneath the device is an optical sensor.

The device launches with an included game called Slide Adventure: Mag Kid. From the pictures on the box, you control your character by simply moving your DS around on a flat surface.

Like most of the somewhat oddball DS attachments, this one probably won't see the light of day over here. Nintendo Europe has neither confirmed nor denied the appearance of the unit in their region.
