Halo 3 Cracks Entertainment Record - Xbox 360
27th September 2007, 1:37pm

As has been largely tipped, Halo 3 has gone on to become the United States most successful entertainment product in it's first 24 hours of launch. The game has brought in $US170 million dollars in it's first day of sales. This eclipses previous records set by other entertainment such as the Spiderman 3 movie, and book sales for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Halo 3 has also set a record for Xbox Live, with over 1 million players connecting in the first 20 hours. Some 1.7 million buyers pre-ordered the game before launch.
Sliced Gaming: Well it's official, video games are officially the largest entertainment seller on the planet. Game on!
