Mario Kart Wii Details Revealed - Wii

Been a while since we've had any news on Mario Kart Wii, but Nintendo Power has recently broken the silence on the title by handing out some nice little nuggets of info.

According to the magazine there will be 16 brand-spankin' new tracks, as well as a bunch of remixed older ones. Weapon favourites such as mushrooms, shells and lightning bolts will return (incidently, these weapons have been confirmed as being avaliable to players who play online) as well as new, unannounced weapons.

As you all should know, all characters in the game will have an alternate motorbike vehicle to race around in. Apparently, you will be able to perform stunts with the motorbike which may have a practical application on the racetrack. Intriguing.

No real word on the release, but Nintendo have pointed at a Q2 2008 release for Europe (and, we hope, us).
