Wii Freeloader Blocked By New Firmware - Wii
17th June 2008, 6:52pm

Bad news for PAL Wii owners today. Nintendo released a new system update for the Wii today, which would be all well and good, except for the fact that it completely blocks Datel's Wii Freeloader from working on all PAL Wiis. The new version, 3.3E, also closes the Twilight Hack which has commonly been used to allow Wii Homebrew to be run. Comments/complaints from disgruntled Wii owners have been popping up all over the internet, with many people disappointed.
Sliced comments: Wii system updates aren't mandatory, so if you have a freeloader, don't perform the update. The only time you have to install firmware is when a new game requires it to run, or if a major feature is added.

That will affect a few people on here. I am more pissed that brawl comes out in the middle of exams.
