Need for Speed Undercover First Look

EA knows Need for Speed: Pro Street didn't live up to the expectations of a lot of fans. They took a different direction for the series which had been slowly slipping off the map since the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 hit the stores, and fans didn't appreciate it. However, John Riccitiello, the CEO of Electronic Arts, is promising the next game will be different.
Currently titled Need for Speed Undercover, the next NFS game has been in development for some time now, and is due out in time for Christmas. It will have a much more involving story, like the Underground games we loved, and will most likely have a completely new engine.
Given Pro Street didn't live up to expectations, the developers of Undercover plan to bring some of the old fan favourites back to the game, such as open-world racing, and highway battles (we're thinking Hot Pursuit style).
Not much else has been said about this title yet, but we're guessing much more will be revealed at E3 in mid July.
