Wii Storage Solution Coming? - Wii

Considering there's enough room on the Wii's internal memory to store a couple of JPEG files, certain Wii games have been vocal about some sort of external storage device. These lamentations have not gone unheard though: Nintendo knows! Laurent Fischer, of Nintendo of Europe has responded:

"We definitely detect that (consumers) are serious and we know there is an issue in this, so it's something that we're working on."

Apparently, it won't be an external storage device though. Here's hoping E3 reveals something...

Some people are betting on expanded SD card support, for bigger cards. However, Nintendo wouldn't make much profit from it, since they don't really make SD cards, so it's hard to say if they'll do it or not.

Fingers crossed they don't just release another Wii with more space built-in. That would piss off a lot of people. Considering they're not looking at an external HDD, I'm curious as to what else they can do. Maybe there's a slot where you can insert a HDD that no-one knows about! :O
