Sony Confirm PS3 Video Downloads -
28th June 2008, 11:55am

Sony have just confirmed that a movie download service will be debuting it the U.S this summer (winter for us), with the service being expanded to Europe and Japan over time, and information expected to be shared within the next month. Hopefully the fact that the service is coming to Europe means that we'll be seeing a release here.

I'm not holding my breath... This was promised for XBL last year for Europe/Australia, but still nothing. Probably the content owners have their head too far up their arses to allow any of their precious content without them making gazillions off it. Then they'll whinge when people go and download it illegally instead
I guess Sony has plenty of their own content, so it's possible they may be able to offer something before Microsoft locally.
