Metal Gear Online GENE Expansion Pack Detailed - PS3

The Metal Gear Online Community official website has been updated with the latest info on the ‘GENE’ expansion pack for the game that offers new maps, characters, and a game mode. Here's the details:

• Throw yourself onto new and unconquered Maps!! Make use of a whole new set of gimmicks and Characters. Why not try out the awesome new game mode “Survival”.
• At the same time, we will be opening the “Reward Shop” for business. Get you character some new gear by earning Reward Points in the game.
• But that’s not all. The “Metal Gear Online Expansion Plus” comes with all of the above plus 1 MGO Extra Character Slot. If you were looking to create another Character, then this is a great opportunity.

The three new maps are Coppertown Conflict/City of Sorrow, Tomb of Tubes/Underground Waterway and Virtuous Vista/South American Power Station. A screenshot of each of them (in order) is available in this article.

As for the survival mode, the webiste has this to say:

"Reward Points you earn by playing ‘Survival’ mode can be spent at the all new Reward Shop where you will be able to exchange them for all sorts of gear. They can be equipped onto your characters in other game modes too! Set yourself apart from the crowd."

It's certainly a pretty big expansion pack, and should keep fans of Metal Gear Online occupied for at least a little while.
