In an exclusive deal for Aussies, the full Spore Creature Creator for PC will be included for free in this Saturday's newspaper. If you purchase either the Daily Telegraph (Sydney), Herald Sun (Melbourne), or the Courier-Mail (Brisbane), you'll get a CD with the full Creature Creator enclosed.

Unfortunately those in NT, ACT, SA, TAS and WA will miss out, unless you can source a copy of the above listed newspapers through your local agency.

Rumours are that there will also be a $15 pre-order discount on the full version of Spore as well through EB Games.

Creature Creator will allow you to build wild and whacky creatures, and will allow them to roam free in the upcoming Spore sandbox game. The demo of Creature Creator has been available now for a few weeks on EA' website.

Sliced Comments: The Creature Creator is good to play with, and you can't go past a free version for the price of a local paper.

Got an e-mail from EB earlier, basically said you have to take the coupon in the paper to your local EB to get the creature creator for $2, and you can also get $15 off your pre-order.

karaoke: I have played with the demo version a bit. It is fun to play with, and would probably be suitable for kids (all-G rated), however hard to say whether they would get into it or not.

There isn't too much too it, you can just drag bits and pieces (different styles of  eyes, mouth, noses, arms, etc) onto creatures into different places, and they can walk around based on that placement. You can also give them different colours and patterns. So basically you can just build whatever creature you like. The fun part is just what you can build, and silly, or scary, or curious looking creatures. And you can show them off to other people you might know, or browse other creatures.

So the Creature Creator in itself that's mainly what you do, there isn't any gameplay associated with it.

Well, it's nothing more than a character creator at the moment, but Spore seems like it will be fun for all ages.

Just wondering if this is a good game that younger kids might be interested in playing at all ie 7 & 12 yrs old ? My daughter loves playing PC games & desperately wants a copy of Lego Starwars The Original Trilogy which we can't seem to find anywhere but if this is any good we might just give this a go instead.

They wouldn't sell the trial version for $2 more.. when it's a free download.

I'm pretty sure it's an exclusive deal..

I saw this advertised in the paper yesterday, but it said it's the trial version and it will cost $2 extra?
