Xbox 360 Pro Gets Larger HDD - Xbox 360
18th August 2008, 12:14pm

Microsoft has added a 60GB HDD to the Xbox 360 Pro bundle for no extra cost, and will go on sale for AUD$449 RRP. New units will be available in stores today.
The current pricing for the arcade remains at AUD$349, and the 120GB Elite is AUD$649
Sliced Comments: The extra hard drive space is a nice extra. Maybe not co-incidental timing, as Sony is set to release a 80GB PS3 at the end of the month for AUD$699
Latest Reader Comments:
I thought Sony were still losing money on the PS3. If they're starting to gain money due to cheaper manufacture then it can't be much.
I don't really mind when companies decide to re-release the consoles with more HDD space. I think that assuming this is going to happen is the best idea, then you won't be pissed off when it does. I'd only be annoyed if I bought an earlier sub-par console only to have a new one come out a few months later (*cough*NDS*cough*). Luckily, I haven't been caught by that either. I know a lot of people were annoyed with the HDMI inclusion later on for the 360 though. I don't need to use a HDMI connection so it doesn't bother me.
Well, the irony there is that Microsoft released its Zune 2.0 firmware to those who bought the first generation Zunes, even when they released new models.
Pity Zune sucks =\
Well Sony got the first revision right, by spending more on quality components, longer R&and still charging the most to recoup costs.
Microsoft stuffed up the first design, tested it on the public, and now are offering cheaper versions.

This is what sh*ts me about MS, they just go and improve the design of the Xbox so everyone who bought in early gets teh shaft, how about "Trade in your old HD for a larger one"?
I realise Sony is doing a similar thing, but atleast they had the forsight to imclude a decent CPU and HDMI port.
i know right. when i got an ipod i was so pissed when they updated them
I dunno what stores are going to do with all the 20gb 360's and 40gb PS3's?
Arrgh! You don't need apostrophes! It's just plural, not possessive! It's so easy! Why does everyone get it wrong!?!

No, Sony are just doing the same thing. There's no sugar-coating.
Stop your stupid Microsoft hating =/
