UPDATED: Sony Announces PSP-3000 - PSP

Today at the Leipzig Games Convention, Sony announced the PSP-3000 - the third version of the PSP platform. It builds on the PSP-2000 ("Slim & Lite") design by adding a better LCD screen that minimises glare when outside, a built-in microphone, and the ability to output video in an interlaced format for older TVs lacking progressive scan. They also replaced the old 'Home' button with the 'PS' symbol to bring it in line with the PS3.
Check out the accompanying pic in preparation for the system's release in "Japan, Asia, North America and Europe" (let's assume Australia is in there somewhere) during October of this year. It's set to launch in a bundle with one game for a RRP of €199 - the original price point of the first iteration in Europe. The price of the first PSP on release day down under was AUD$349.95, but there's been no official confirmation if this is indeed the local price point for its newer sibling.
IGN AU is reporting that in Australia the system will be sold by itself for a RRP of AUD$299.95 from October 16th.

I played mine for like 5 minutes today, I put in the Atari Arcade Classics, played Pong, failed miserably, then took it out.
That's more reasonable.. I thought US$350 so might have been over $400
