I dont think they are going to "ignore" a game that rakes in $15,000,000 a Month!

Or maybe you mean just in Lore? I would say thats what you meant ^_^

I do agree that they should just stop adding and make a new game all together. Be it RTS or RPG, Bliz do both very well.

I just mean lore and story wise continue the story as if WoW never happen. As I said though not likely to really happen.

I agree - they should have made a new faction instead of adding to two already filled out factions. Should have had some sort of evil faction, that was against the Horde & the Alliance, filled it out with Belfs, Illidari, Blood Orcs, maybe even some of the Lich Kings creations (ohhh, LICHS!!) etc

That would have been badass - then they could have just added the Deathknights to it and it would have made alot more sense then "ohh, the DKs aren't under the control of the Lich King anymore for some random arse reason, lets just let the personifications of evil and destruction join us!".   bah!

Sticking together another faction is not what I meant but it probably would have made more sense. Deathknights are another problem WoW has created. I don't pretend to be up to date with all the lore in WoW but everytime I read something I always think huh? what? why? What I would seriously rather see, is if they made a warcraft 4 them just completely ignore WoW. I doubt that would happen though.

Except for the part where they hated humans and night elves.  I'm fairly sure that was explained in WC3?

See that is not a justification. At the end of WC3 they were allies with the naga and draenei but that didn't work for them so they invented a new group that stayed behind and gave them a quickly made backstory. Then they had to justify them being on the horde side so they made up some bullshit about the orcs wanting to help them escape their addiction to magic.

The lore is being forced to fit a two faction system when it would make a lot more sense for the blood elves to be on neither. Lore should make sense and flow not have to be changed or inflated everytime a patch comes out. I understand why they are doing it but it still annoys me.

There's several zones in Azeroth that you can't scroll over with a mouse that would be easily turned in to starting zones. There's also the islands in between the two continents, and they can also add random islands that are undiscovered if they want.

The Death Knight starting area is east of that small neutral town in Eastern Plaguelands after all.

Thats right and just shove more random lore in to explain it.

lol - thats where the Belfs came from - I mean, they were in the Warcraft Lore, but there is no reason for them to side with the Horde, that was just random as hell.

Not entirely, if they did it in the new expansion they could simply expand, say, the undead territories and have them splinter off with the belfs or something, then give them heaps of territory in Northrend.

Its definitely do-able, problem is (espec with the horde) all the races are pretty even, I don't know of any server who has like a 5:1 ratio of a specific race to allow one to splinter off. That, and it would pissoff ppl who didn't want to split from the faction, but their main was that race.

I think they'd just need to add a new faction with say Narru + The fallen (I think thats the name of the deformed Drenai) - just turn NPCs into a playable race.

Third faction would be cool, but Azeroth and Outlands would be a bit stuffed as they're already sectored out. They'd have to redo all that.

Oh, and those Belf mounts look f*kin rediculous.

Why's that ? I personally don't think that they look too bad myself and they can't be any worse than those silly looking Elekks that my draenei rides around on though imo.  lol

The Elekks are quite stupid looking, I was just comparing them to things like the Undead Epic Mount, that thing is badass! Or the Belf Charger, or the Netherdrake. I'm just saying bliz has come up with some pretty awesome looking mounts, don't know why they dropped the ball on the belf one.

I want to play as night elf g-string, with +10 to water resistance.

I doubt Bliz will be adding a 3rd player faction, it would be cool if they did, but I don't think it would viable.

I'd play as Chocobo class.

Speaking of Chocobo's, I had someone whisper me in the game once when I was riding around on my Blood Elve's Hawkstrider asking me if it was a Chocobo. You'd think that they would have got the name right at least.   lol

I'd play a Neutral faction.

ie Goblins

I mean a faction like Horde and Alliance.

In regards to new factions, there's already going to possibly be 13 new one's overall in WotLK(according to WotLK wiki) so who knows how many more they'll eventually decide to add in any further expansions. Doing all of the faction rep grind for them had better be worth it for the rewards in the end though.     lol

I'd personally love to see the rumoured Panderan race make an appearance somewhere down the track because they'd be pretty cool imo.

This entire article ignores the possibility of a new faction

I think if they're going to add more races they would add a whole new faction, and it would include nagas, murlocs, demons, Rexxar sized ogreorcs, and possibly goblins or something.

Northrend brings the final portal to Emerald Dream in to the World of Warcraft, making it more likely that the next expansion will be the Emerald Dream.

Yeah I remember reading about that one around the time of pre-Burning Crusade. But I personally think that as long as they can keep coming up with more ideas for future expansions(like the one's in the link) then it will probably still be around for a very long time to come.

WoW has never been finished, and Northrend will still have much to be added later on. That's why people keep playing, because they keep adding more content! =)

So when did they say that the next xpansion after this one gets released ?    lol

I'd give it 18-24months and a new one will be atleast in the works.

As for competition, I don't think Warhammer and Darkfall are really going to steal that much of WoW's monopoly, I mean Guild Wars - even City of Heros have been out and about for a while and they make up almost nothing compared to WoW. I've gone over Darkfall, it's a bit more freeroaming then WoW, but no where near the added support and features, and severly bugged (not code wise, just general layout), I haven't had a crack at Warhammer but even if it DID rival WoW, Blizzard already controls such a large portion of the market, I don't see people ditching their hard work in level 70s just to move to a game that may or may not pan out. Maybe down the track when people have finished alot of the expansion content, Bliz will see a drop in subscribers.

I don't see this one reaching actual release on the first given date.

Damn and I was really excited about it too.

But then again I personally think that they'll probably want to release it the sooner the better if they're up against new one's like Warhammer & Darkfall.

2 worlds: We'll See.

Bliz pushed the original expansion back that many times, I don't see this one reaching actual release on the first given date. May be wrong, but Bliz is a good company because of their devotion to getting things right, and they wont be releasing a massive title like this unfinished.
