Star Wars: Force Unleased Sells 1.5 Million Copies

After less than one week on store shelves worldwide, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is on track to become the best-selling Star Wars game of all time.  LucasArts today announced that more than 1.5 million customers worldwide have purchased Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, making it both the fastest-selling Star Wars game and LucasArts game ever.

"The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including video games," said Darrell Rodriguez, president of LucasArts. "We're blown away by the response to the game."

Sales figures are based on the first five days of sales across all platforms worldwide.

I stand corrected.

I managed to find a games store renting this and I broke it open this morning. While the game might be short its a hell of a lot of fun. I've part way through the third mission and loving it.

See, 5-6 hrs and no MP for me is in no way worth $100.

Yep I finished it in 5-6 hours on the 2nd easiest difficulty. There are 2 harder difficulties but I couldn't be bothered as I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I didn't really rush through it either and I died a few times which set me back to a few annoying checkpoints where I had to repeat everything all over again.

I'm weighing up whether or not to pick it up atm. I'd rent it but none of the video stores in town buy new games more then 3-4 times a year, and I doubt this is on the list.

I pre-ordered it, but then when it came out and I heard it was clockable in like 6hrs.....I kinda don't see how thats worth $100au.
