21st February 2003, 9:27am
Tecmo's incredibly popular fighting series has hints of its next installment, Dead Or Alive: Code Kronus, to be playable on the Xbox Live online gaming server which the Xbox so powerfully boasts.Creator of the series Tomanaba Itagaki spoke recently to the Japanese press where he said that there is a plan to allow multiple players to fight online together, although no information has been released on the Live capabilities that will be utilized in DOA:Code Kronus.
Code Kronus will be the next Dead Or Alive title that is so popular in Japan, following the smash hit of Dead Or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball which helped Xbox gain a high speed attack on Japan and outsell Gamecube in Japan for the first time ever and raising the profile of the Xbox in the hard market of Japan.
Code Kronus is rumored to be a compilation of all previous Dead Or Alive fighting titles in the one game, a true classic. We expect to see more revealed at E3 later this year.
