EyeToy: Play Sells 1 Million Units In Europe
30th October 2003, 3:16pm
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that it has sold 1 Million EyeToy: Play Units since its launch four months ago in Europe.
'EyeToy' is a small web type camera which when connected to PlayStation 2 opens up a new world in home entertainment. 'EyeToy: Play' is the first game to use this innovative technology and contains 12 crazy games which cover a variety of subjects from living room football to do it yourself kung foo to robot boxing. In each of these games the player takes centre stage since, via the 'EyeToy' camera, the player's image is broadcast through the TV within the game itself. The player's body movement in front of the camera determines the course of events in the game. For the first time the player really is the star of the show.
