Sony Computer Entertainment Europe invites you to step
into the deadly world of Ghosthunter, a ghoulish action-adventure game developed for
PlayStation2 by SCEE Studio Cambridge, the Bafta Award winning developer behind
Primal, C-12: Final Resistance and the MediEvil Series.
Inspired by the cinematic styling of classic horror films, Ghosthunter combines solid gameplay with film-quality graphics and a compelling storyline, immersing players in a macabre, supernatural universe packed with stealth, exploration and all-out action.
SCEE Studio Cambridge has created a game that makes the most of PlayStation 2's technical prowess, delivering both gamers and horror fans a rich, sensory experience with no compromise on gaming quality. Ghosthunter's dark fantasy world wholly captures the essence of the action-horror genre.
Ghosthunter follows the adventures of Lazarus Jones, a Detroit cop turned supernatural demon hunter. During a routine patrol through a derelict High School, once the site of an unexplained brutal massacre, Lazarus and his partner, Anna Steele, unearth the ghost research laboratory of Professor Peter Richmond. Whilst investigating they inadvertently release a host of demonic ghosts and deadly monsters, which leads to worldwide chaos and the abduction of Steele. One of the spirits fuses with Lazarus, giving him second sight, allowing him to see into the realm of the dead. With this paranormal ability his true journey begins. Lazarus travels the haunted world in search of Steele and Richmond, hunting down gruesome ghosts and looking for the creature behind the original High School murders.
