75%
From the creators that brought us Toy Story, Monsters Inc., and Finding Nemo comes an exciting new franchise known as The Incredibles. However, The Incredibles seems to have received next to no advertising here in Australia resulting in not even my 8 year old brother knowing about it as I put the disc into my console to test out The Incredibles. Join Mr. Incredible and his family of superheroes set to save innocents from retched evil that threatens the world's safety and peace.

Dash, the fastest kid in the world, Violet with the power to become invisible, Mr. Incredible with his super strength, and Mrs. Incredible AKA: Elastigirl (who's nickname speaks for itself) are the perfect team, so get ready for lots of action pumped missions as you master all their abilities. The Incredibles Save The Day.

Gameplay

The Incredibles all have their individual moves which you get to learn and master throughout various levels. The average level takes around 10 minutes to complete, and the levels vary immensely from hanging from a leg while you speed through the city trying to defuse a bomb, to racing through the jungle taking out proximity machine guns and lots and lots of henchmen. Mr. Incredible is of course the tough one of the family, and throughout various levels you'll find yourself having to lift very heavy objects to create new ways to get through the levels.

The i's fill up your incredible bar which is in the middle of your health in the top left corner of the interface. You can then press your Y button to use your incredible move which of course varies depending on what character you're using. Each button will do a different move and you'll find yourself mastering the crouch moves also if you want to make it through some of the later levels.

The enemies in The Incredibles vary from your normal henchmen to turrets to massive tanks to massive balls that roll around and try to hit you. Coincidentally, when the ball is actually rolling around, it's invulnerable so watch out! The ball is actually one of the best designed enemies I've seen in a while. It switches from a round smooth ball to a ball being held up by several legs, and turrets come out of it to shoot at you, and it throws rocks at you that it digs up from the earth, and it can also turn into a massive spinning wheel of razor blades as it heads towards you. It's so diverse that you'll find yourself having to come up with several tactics in order to destroy it, especially seeing as it (continued next page)
