it, you basically get to try that section again. The Wii version uses simple gestures with the Wiimote and Nunchuck for this: you'll be prompted onscreen to twist the devices in a certain way before you take on the next section. I saw this when my opponent and I were in a lightsaber 'lock' (you know the one, the only time the Jedi get to speak in a lightsaber battle is when they're not striking and just locked in a struggle). Basically, whoever pulls off the controller movements quick enough 'wins' the lock and is rewarded with a fair chunk off of the opponents health. This do help break up the battle a bit and are more interesting than just press a couple of buttons.

The fighting, rather than take place on a 2D perspective (a la Mortal Kombat) is instead completely 3D. While you're still enclosed in an arena, you're essentially free to move around as much as you want.

The Wii version of The Force Unleashed, while graphical impaired in comparison to its HD brother, looks set to be a throughly enjoyable romp through the Star Wars universe. Krome has clearly invested a lot of time in ensuring that you experience the game as best as you can on the hardware, to the point where they've even coded a custom physics solution into the game: now that's dedication.

The Force Unleashed is coming out for the 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP and DS, the latter three of which were handled by Krome. It's due out on September 17, 2008.

Oh, in case you're interested: I won.
