The bad news is that the multiplayer mode is very basic, with very few options. It's more of a distraction rather than a true feature.

Graphics

Bland and simplistic. These are the two words that sum up The Shoot's graphics. From the basic, blocky modelling of the game's 3D environments, to the uninspired 2D designs of the enemies - it's not a pretty game. Add to this the lack of any substantial animation and effects, and it's hard not to feel disappointed.

Sound

Each of the game's levels has a well-suited, if forgettable, piece of background music. It's not going to win any awards, but The Shoot's soundtrack is inoffensive and pleasant enough to do the job. The range of sound effects is a little limited though, there's only so many times you can listen to a pistol being fired exactly the same way before the sound gets a bit repetitive. It's not a huge issue though.

Overall

Sadly, The Shoot is an example of a game that feels as though it was quickly thrown together to serve as a tech demo for the PlayStation Move hardware. Once you get through the calibration, there's some fun to be had by playing through the first couple of levels, but after that it just feels as though you're doing the same thing again and again. This is disappointing, since the PlayStation Move controller can certainly be used in more creative ways than the shallow experience that The Shoot provides. Unless you can buy it very cheap, I wouldn't recommend this game, especially with a well made game like Time Crisis: Razing Storm already on the market. You can currently buy The Shoot new for $30 at GAME or $60 at EB Games.
